MESSAGE from district commander:
and a great new year
We have had a great year pass, and I thank you all for supporting and being a part of this mission to evangelize, equip, and empower the next generation of men. Although remembering, the measure of a man is not what he has accomplished, but what he has yet to accomplish! As we look back and see what God has done this pass year through our Royal Ranger Ministry across Kentucky and around the world, I am encouraged and excited to have more yet to do. This coming year we have envision to reach more boys and men than ever and do it more effectively than ever! Let’s rally more men and women to help in doing this.
Do you believe that you have been called by God to spread the gospel? If your answer is yes, I want to bring to your remembrance that this is not warfare in the flesh, but one in the spirit realm. We are asking you to begin 2014, or maybe even finish up this year with a time of prayer and fasting (Mark 9:29) If Jesus considered this for His life, should we? I believe so! Would you pray about standing with us in a collective time of prayer and fasting? I will be sending out a calendar before we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior. Choose your days all or part within this time frame please. What you choose to fast should be between you and God. In the past I have fast food and or drink, television, and etc., partial and full. I really feel this needs to be a united time of fasting and prayer my friends! (Leviticus 26:8)
PRASE REPORTS: Answers to prayer.
"and he sent them out to preach the kingdom
of God and to heal the
sick." Luke 9:2
Thanks for all the prayers, this child is now
at home. The very day
that this prayer was sent out, baby Welch began to show huge
improvements. Heart good, his temp improved, and they found the trouble
with the oxygen levels. He is our miracle baby because it was very
touch and go for a while. We thank the Lord for his goodness and you
all for your faith. God Bless!

AN OUTPOST SERVING THEIR COMMUNITY:
The newly formed Royal Rangers outpost # 33
performed about one and a half hours community service work for the City
of Winchester. There were eleven boys, ages 10 - 16, and two adult
leaders involved in the project. They trimmed shrubs and cleaned out
debris next to the retaining wall on the west side of the railroad
underpass on N. Maple Street. The Royal Rangers is a mentoring program
for boys and young men grades K-12. They provide character formation and
leadership development in a highly relational and fun environment.
Outpost # 33 is located at the Church of God Cathedral where David
Douglas is the Pastor.
OUTPOST SENDING ME UPDATES OF HAPPINGS, WILL BE POSTED IN THE PONY XPRESS. PLEASE SEND THOSE TO ME AT MY EMAIL ADDRESS LOCATE HERE
Are all apostles?
Thoughts for Today:
The Greek word Paul uses for "apostles" is defined by Strong's Lexicon to mean: "a delegate or messenger who is sent forth with orders." This term can specifically refer to the twelve Apostles (capital "A") of Jesus Christ, whom He chose during His earthly ministry to provide the inspiration and witness of His identity and work as recorded in the New Testament. However, the word "apostolos" is also used to describe other people who are doing the work of an apostle (lower case "a", versus capital "A" -- Barnabas and Timothy are examples in Scripture). Two of the characteristics of an apostle are: the miraculous gifts of the Spirit which are evident in their ministry, and doing (what we call today) the work of a missionary. In other words, they evangelize and plant churches.
In mission fields here and abroad we need be well aware of the on-going work God is doing to call His people into a saving relationship with His Son Jesus Christ. God continues to greatly use the office of the apostle, (a delegate or messenger who is sent forth with orders)! Churches are being planted and miracles regularly accompany this spread of the Gospel message. Why? Mark 16:20: "Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it."
The Lord has always confirmed the preaching of His Word with miracles. If Jesus and the first century Christians needed the word they preached to be confirmed with miracles (Hebrews 2:4: "God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will."), then we do too. No Scripture states these miraculous signs have passed away, nor that the office of "apostle" (lower case "a") is no longer needed.
I myself have had several miracles. One of which concern me, in 1975 Is; several different doctors had each diagnosed me with ankylosing spondylitis, “a rheumatoid arthritis diseases of the lower Lombard of the spine”, in which there was no known cure. I was placed on several drugs to help control the crippling effects of this diseases. The drugs themselves did create life threatening problems and I was under monthly observations to check for any disorder in my organs. Like the woman with the issue of blood, I pressed into the presents of Jesus Christ, and His bowls of compassion were open toward me and healed me instantly. I flushed the poisons doctors had given me and never returned to them again. That my friend was 39 years ago and I’m doing great! I have a long list of things like this God has done for me and love ones. He even sent an angle to me that I know of at least once and saved my physical life from death. This and others are another story. And these are why I know what I know, “that God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow!”
Questions to Ponder:
Is there a difference between the Apostles of Jesus and simple apostles (those sent out with orders)? Of course there is. However, God did not intend for us to ignore His instruction just because we've placed too much emphasis on one word or another. Do you believe that God has called and sent you to mentor the next generation? If we take out the holiness of the original twelve Apostles -- is there a Scriptural place for an apostle in the world today? What about church hierarchy? Paul thought so and instructed accordingly. Do you?
